All applicants to the Center for Sustainable Careers training programs must attend an Information and Application Session. These sessions are held every Tuesday promptly at 1pm. Doors are closed at 1pm, so it is best to arrive early!

B’more Green is a workforce development program that provides individuals with an opportunity to find employment in the rapidly growing green and environmental industries. Currently, B’More Green Training offers several programs: the Brownfields Remediation Training, the Energy Retrofit Training, the Solar Energy Installation Training, the Stormwater Management Training, and the MD Department of Natural Resources’ Land Resources Training.

Participants in these programs earn industry-recognized certifications and are placed with an employer upon successful completion of the program.

If you are interested in applying to the training program, you must meet the following criteria:

  • 18 years or older
  • Pass a drug screening
  • Physical fitness sufficient to continuously perform strenuous activities (climb ladders, carry a minimum of 50 lbs, etc.).
  • Attend a mandatory information session

Energy Retrofit Training

Learn how to make a house more energy efficient
in an industry primed for expansion and job creation.

Solar Training

Learn to install solar energy systems
in a rapidly growing industry

 

 

Stormwater Training

Learn to install and maintain stormwater 
practices that reduce polluted runoff

Learn forestry, land restoration 
and wildlife management
